Embark on a fantastic journey inspired by Noah’s Ark : Discover Robert’s Wilson exhibition and join us for our special lectures exploring the animal theme.
The public exhibition will be from September 3 to 26, 2016 at the Hôtel d’Évreux, 19, place Vendôme 75001 Paris (free admission from 12am to 8pm).
To present its new High Jewelry collection, la Maison entrusted Robert Wilson, American set designer famed for his radiant, subtle, and thrilling conceptions, with the scenography.
In his vision of the Ark, Robert Wilson imagined a sensory mise-en-scène plunged in the engulfing darkness. The constant screening of a video is reminiscent of the sea; the soft and enfolding piece of music evokes mystery; the skies darken as lightning streaks herald a storm, the Ark departs, and the ensuing respite hums like a promise of peace…
Robert Wilson creates a dreamlike travel through a positive and timeless interpretation of the of Noah’s Ark, evoking first of all a preserved paradise.
L’ÉCOLE Van Cleef & Arpels will be part of this exhaustive program by holding three unique lectures in Paris. Eminent experts will make presentations exploring the animal theme and the natural materials used in jewelry making.
These three lectures are part of the “Back to School” special program offered by L’ÉCOLE Van Cleef & Arpels from September 5 to 28, 2016. Also included are nine new 2- to 3-hour courses. Some of which include a visit to the Jewelry Gallery at the Musée des Arts décoratifs or the exhibition “L’Arche de Noé racontée par Van Cleef & Arpels”.
Lastly, free workshops for children and teenagers are also available on Wednesday afternoons (14, 21, 28) and Saturday, September 10 in the morning.
