Explore and Create 3: from French Jewelry to Japanese Lacquer work  — October 9, 2015

This new course is an opportunity for discovering and trying two types of Savoir-Faire. Students draw, paint, saw, engrave and polish their own creations in the shape of a butterfly. To enable the best possible understanding of these gestures, numerous videos accompany the instructors’ explanations.  These unprecedented videos were filmed not only in High Jewelry workshop in Paris, but also in Japan’s Wajima, the birthplace of Urushi lacquer-work, inside the workshop of the internationally renowned lacquer master, Junichi Hakose. Details and registration are available online.
