Let your bejeweled journey begin with L’ÉCOLE, School of Jewelry Arts
Founded in Place Vendôme in Paris in 2012, L’ÉCOLE, School of Jewelry Arts is the first school established for the general public to learn about the history, culture, and savoir-faire of the bejeweled arts.
Through hands-on "à la carte" classes taught by a team of passionate experts, but also talks and exhibitions, L’ÉCOLE welcomes the public to learn about the savoir-faire of jewelry-making techniques, the world of precious stones, and the art history of jewelry.
No prerequisite of education or skills is needed, only curiosity. In just a few hours, participants can discover the fascinating universe of jewelry, from the mysteries of stones to the know-how of jewelers while uncovering its rich history.

Designed by renowned architect Sou Fujimoto, L’ÉCOLE Asia Pacific is located at K11 MUSEA, the heart of Hong Kong and the West Kowloon art and design district. The school design showcases a modern identity playing with organic shapes and the natural day light of the campus.

THE TEACHERS
L'ÉCOLE’s faculty of teachers is comprised of experts in their fields: master jewelers, stone setters, designers, mock-up makers, jewelry art historians, gemologists and lacquer craftsmen. All of them are experienced professionals, chosen for their enthusiasm, passion and skill in transmitting their knowledge and know-how.
THE PERMANENT SCHOOLS
L'ÉCOLE France – Place Vendôme
In 2014 L’ÉCOLE settled down in Paris in the Hôtel de Ségur, 18th century hôtel particulier built by architect Jacques V Gabriel on Place Vendôme, where the spirit of jewelry is in the air. Three floors of beautiful classrooms, workshop, library; a perfect setting for memorable hands-on experiences and stories.

Spurred by public enthusiasm, L’ÉCOLE, School of Jewelry Arts is widening its scope with a new location in an eighteenth-century mansion on Paris’s Grands Boulevards. Registered as a historic monument, the site will include a large exhibition space and a one-of-a-kind bookstore entirely dedicated to the world of jewelry.

L’ÉCOLE Asia Pacific
After three successful nomadic editions in Hong Kong, L’ÉCOLE found its second home at K11 MUSEA in the city and officially opened its first permanent school outside Paris in 2019 – L’ÉCOLE Asia Pacific.
The school design itself was created by renowned architect Sou Fujimoto, a long-time friend of L’ÉCOLE, who imagined a modern identity for this Asian venue, with organic shapes, playing with natural day light of the site.

The third permanent L’ÉCOLE school in Shanghai, which will offer classes, talks and exhibitions all year round to serve the growing demand for jewelry arts education among the Chinese audience.

THE TRAVELING SCHOOLS
L’ÉCOLE Japan
Japan was the first overseas country L’ÉCOLE visited, with a 14-day program held in 2013. L’ÉCOLE also returned to Tokyo in 2019 at Kyoto University of Art & Design, Gaien Campus in Tokyo. From January 14 to March 13 in 2021, L’ÉCOLE organized "Men's Rings exhibition" at Gallery 3, 21_21 DESIGN SIGHT,with the breathtaking collection of men’s rings that belonged to Yves Gastou.

L’ÉCOLE United States
Following the first trip in June 2015, L’ÉCOLE returned to New York City for a series of talks in January and October 2016, and October 2017.
From October 25 to November 9, 2018, L’ÉCOLE organized a series of 15 courses, 8 talks and 3 exhibitions that invite the public to immerse themselves in the art of jewelry guided by leading experts. For this very special event and intensive program, the School of Jewelry Arts took up residence in a beautiful mansion at 2 East 63rd Street.
L’ÉCOLE Lyon
In Lyon, L’ÉCOLE School of Jewelry Arts took up residence from December 11 to 17, 2021 at the InterContinental - Hôtel Dieu, one of the city's most emblematic historic buildings, a representation of Lyon's rich history.
