New York, NY, October 2019

L’ÉCOLE returns to New York City on October 29th to host an evening conversation between American artist Daniel Brush and Nicolas Bos, President & CEO of Van Cleef & Arpels. Moderated by Spencer Bailey, co-founder of the new media company The Slowdown, the conversation will take place at The Noguchi Museum in Long Island City, New York. The event celebrates the launch of a new book on Brush’s work, Daniel Brush: Jewels Sculpture by Vivienne Becker (Rizzoli Electa, 2019), foreword by Nicolas Bos, and photography by Takaaki Matsumoto. This marks L’ECOLE’s first evening conversation at The Noguchi Museum, which will host this special private event.

A unique figure in the world of contemporary art, Daniel Brush is in equal measure an artist and self-taught craftsman. Over the course of five decades, Brush has created an unparalleled body of work which ranges from meditative ink drawings to sculptures in steel and aluminum—from palm-size to room size—and jewelry.

The evening’s program will commence at 6:30pm with a cocktail reception to welcome attendees.
