Professor Kwan-Sun Shim will introduce the traditions of Korean ornamentation and the cultural meanings behind these protective symbols. Designer Sally Sohn will then share her perspective on creating meaningful jewelry today, blending sacred heritage with contemporary aesthetics. The talk will also examine current jewelry trends in Korea and in Europe, as our speakers consider how ancient motifs continue to inspire modern lucky charms and designs.
