L’ÉCOLE, School of Jewelry Arts has opened its bookshop dedicated to the world of jewelry, L’Escarboucle, in Paris. Its poetic, enigmatic name is derived from the Latin word carbunculus (small embers), once used to designate precious stones of a fiery red hue: exceptional rubies, spinels, and garnets. 

As part of the event “de Mains en mains” organized by Van Cleef & Arpels, L’Escarboucle, along with its booksellers, moves to the heart of Lyon, at the InterContinental Lyon - Hôtel Dieu, to offer a selection of varied works on jewelry, requisite savoir-faire, gemology, applied arts, and aesthetic evolutions over the course of time.
