Artistic crafts and scientific research: the Replica of the Celtic Torque of Montans

Around the first experimental archeology research project at L'ÉCOLE, School of Jewelry Arts and the exhibition "Recreating Gesture: the Replica of the Celtic Torque of Montans" presented during the Lyon event "de Mains en mains," we invite you to engage in a dialogue with the stakeholders.
About
The replica and the process of recreation are at the heart of broader issues: how do artisans, goldsmiths, and jewelers participate in scientific research by giving new life to the archeological object and to the understanding of the gesture? Similarly, how do laboratory analyses and archeological practice stimulate knowledge of know-how by the crafts over the long term, that of History?
These are all questions that allow us to delve into the heart of the material of gold and techniques and go back in time. Understanding that the hand and the mind cannot be separated, but on the contrary, act together, in an emulation that allows us to grasp from the inside the history of the crafts: this subject is thus open to the public, in a moment of sharing that is also a discovery.
