Marie Antoinette

Screening on February 15 as part of the activities for Day 2 of the L’ÉCOLE Festival

Sofia Coppola’s Marie Antoinette is a visual feast that brings to life the grandeur and decadence of 18th-century Versailles. The film explores the life of France’s iconic queen, showcasing her love for extravagant jewelry, intricate fashions, and opulent surroundings. As a symbol of rebellion and individuality, her story beautifully aligns with L’ÉCOLE’s celebration of artistic craftsmanship and the cultural significance of jewels.

We are thrilled to announce an outdoor movie series  “Jewels of Cinema” by Cinema Akil and L’ÉCOLE Middle East, celebrating our latest exhibition, Men’s Rings: Yves Gastou Collection. Each month, we will showcase a carefully selected film that explores the themes of men’s rings, jewelry, and the powerful symbolism they embody.
