L’ÉCOLE invites you to discover the stories behind the world of gemstones through live reading sessions with our experts.
For this session, Tania Heikal, gemologist at L'ÉCOLE, School of Jewelry Arts, will read an excerpt from SAPPHIRE by Joanna Hardy, a comprehensive and beautifully illustrated exploration of this captivating and famous gemstone.
It delves into the history, geology, and cultural significance of sapphires, covering their origins and the various forms and colors they can take. It also explores how sapphires were used in exceptional pieces of jewelry designed by prominent Jewelry Maisons, worn by royalties and public figures.
For those who wish to go further, featured titles are also available at the L’ÉCOLE Library Corner at Al Safa Art & Design Library.
