The birth of a jewel starts in 2 dimensions: from the inspiration to the sketch, from the sketch to the painting in gouaché.

The birth of a jewel starts in 2 dimensions: from the inspiration to the sketch, from the sketch to the painting in gouaché.

Various sources of inspiration nourish the creativity of the designer. His hands are the first to give life to the piece. His ability to interpret, capacity for conception, mastery of different techniques: all of these gifts possessed by one artist make it possible for the project to take root and grow.

The creations are expressed in two dimensions, first in the form of a sketch, the starting point for discussion. After approval of the sketch, the designer then makes the painted design in gouaché. The gouaché painting is a stand-alone work of art. It plans for and evokes the volumes and the work that will be done with the precious materials by means of a subtle play of lights and shadows.

How does one become a jewelry designer-gouacheuse? What are the particularities of this profession?

We offer you the chance to meet with a gouacheuse who has had an unconventional career path, who will come to share her experience with you and to tell you about some of her reasons for choosing this profession, as well as what her daily life is like in this profession.
