About this Course

From boardrooms, reading desks and podiums to runways or red carpets, menswear is at the center of our political, social, cultural and fashion stage. "Men's Jewelry Through Time: Towards Modern Masculinity" tells the recent story of jewels and adornments for modern gentlemen. Looking at sartorial history, this Beyond The Exhibition program questions what kind of jewels are allowed to be worn by the establishment and by the rebellious hoodlum. Between mannerism and provocation, how to forge modern masculinity? This special program includes classroom discussion by Art Historian, as well as private exhibition tour guided by Victor Gastou.
