Celebrating drawings, design and creative processes through its current exhibition, “Designing Jewels: 200 years of French Savoir-Faire (1770-1970)”, L’ÉCOLE, School of Jewelry Arts invites you for a conversation exploring the links between contemporary fashion and jewelry design.
From ready-to-wear to haute couture, and from custom to high jewelry collections, every piece tells a story crafted by the brilliant minds of designers. Beginning with mood boards and market studies, these creative visionaries skillfully translate their ideas and silhouettes onto paper before bringing them to life. In both the fashion and jewelry worlds, the importance of sketches, portfolios, and final renderings cannot be overstated.
Many artists navigate seamlessly between the two disciplines, and the influence of jewelry on couture, and vice versa, is inspiring.
Join us as we explore the evolution of style and trends over the past 50 years with two experienced designers based in Hong Kong. They will share their inspirations and insights, offering a unique perspective into the intricate relationship between fashion and jewelry design.
