Transcript

Lacloche Frères was a distinguished jewelry Maison that no longer exists.

From the Belle Époque to the Art Deco period, spanning from 1901 to 1931, the name became synonymous with refinement and elegance, standing alongside renowned houses like Cartier, Van Cleef & Arpels, Dusausoy, and Boucheron. Founded by 4 brothers originating from Bruxelles, Lacloche Frères opened their first boutique rue de la Paix in 1901 but had already benefited from a solid reputation since 1892. The year 1925 and the Art Deco world exhibition was a turning point for Lacloche Frères as they accumulated prestigious orders and press coverage! However, the Maison faced bankruptcy in 1931, leading to its abrupt disappearance.

Although Jacques Lacloche, the third-generation representative, attempted to revive the brand from 1936 to 1967 under the name J. Lacloche Jewelry House, many of its original archives have been lost to time.
