Divine Jewels: The Pursuit of Beauty

Kazumi Arikawa & Diana Scarisbrick

Divine Jewels presents a breathtaking array of works, from intricately carved cameos and intaglios of antiquity through the nineteenth century to sublime, nature-inspired pieces reflecting the delicate aesthetics of Japanism, as well as one of the world’s premier collections of historical tiaras. Each chapter, meticulously curated and researched, offers a dialogue between the scholarly perspective of the jewelry historian and the personal insights and knowledge of the collector.

LACLOCHE JOAILLIERS (LACLOCHE JEWELERS)

Laurence Mouillefarine & Véronique Ristelhueber

This monograph is the first to retrace the astonishing rise of the Lacloche family despite their modest beginnings at the rue de Châteaudun in 1892. Renowned for their elegance and refined craftsmanship, this book pays tribute to the models made by Lacloche Frères, and their successor, Jacques Lacloche, and designed by the best Parisian workshops. Two extraordinary gouaché albums, hitherto unpublished, bring to life the 63 jewels and 21 clocks presented by Lacloche Frères at the 1925 Exhibition.
