Savoir-faire
From Design to Mock-up (4 hrs)
Explore the first steps in creating a jewel.
About the Course
Guided by your lecturers, explore the three stages which allow a jewel to be represented in two dimensions: the drawing, the tracing, and the gouaché, and learn how to paint the facets of a diamond.
Then, experience the mock-up maker's gestures while creating a pewter mock-up, the first three-dimensional interpretation of the jewel. Shape a butterfly out of metal and decorate it with rhinestones. After the class, bring your drawing and your mock-up back home.
