The newly curated series of activities will feature showcases, talks, courses and a variety of cultural moments centered around the theme of diamonds. “Discover the Diamond: Art & Science,” is scheduled to take place at the L’ÉCOLE Hong Kong campus in K11 MUSEA from November 22nd, 2025, to April 30th, 2026.
Diamond Presentation: Art, History and Evolution
L’ÉCOLE invites visitors to rediscover this iconic mineral. From rough stones to brilliant cuts, this exploration traces the many journeys of diamonds from East to West, offering an immersive experience within the dazzling gemstone and showcasing the two sets of famous diamond replicas: the Tavernier set and the Lesotho Legend.
The Tavernier set reveals the Mughal cuts, of the 17th century, which have long since been forgotten, while Lesotho Legend utilizes modern diamond cutting technology.
Guided Tours will be provided starting from November 23rd. Join us to discover this unforgettable diamond journey at L’ÉCOLE!
The Lesotho Legend: from a Rough Diamond to a High Jewelry Collection
In honor of the diamond’s significance, a new course titled “The Lesotho Legend: from a Rough Diamond to a High Jewelry Collection” is newly launched in the Asia Pacific Campus. In this course, you will travel through Lesotho to explore the origin, formation, and extraction of this extraordinary gem. Along the way, you will observe replicas of the diamond as you will make a stop in Antwerp to explore the cutting process, from the study of the rough stone to the final polishing.
