Exploration Days of Diamond

L’ÉCOLE Asia Pacific will host two Exploration Days of Diamond, taking place at the vibrant K11 MUSEA campus on Saturday, November 22nd and November 29th. These events will feature special talks, themed "The Savoir-Faire" and "The Gem" of diamond, offering an engaging and educational experience for all ages.

Diamond Presentation: Art, History and Evolution

L’ÉCOLE invites visitors to rediscover this iconic mineral. From rough stones to brilliant cuts, this exploration traces the many journeys of diamonds from East to West, offering an immersive experience within the dazzling gemstone and showcasing the two sets of famous diamond replicas: the Tavernier set and the Lesotho Legend. 

The Tavernier set reveals the Mughal cuts, of the 17th century, which have long since been forgotten, while Lesotho Legend utilizes modern diamond cutting technology. 

Guided Tours will be provided starting from November 23rd. Join us to discover this unforgettable diamond journey at L’ÉCOLE!

The Lesotho Legend: from a Rough Diamond to a High Jewelry Collection

In honor of the diamond’s significance, a new course titled “The Lesotho Legend: from a Rough Diamond to a High Jewelry Collection” is newly launched in the Asia Pacific Campus. In this course, you will travel through Lesotho to explore the origin, formation, and extraction of this extraordinary gem. Along the way, you will observe replicas of the diamond as you will make a stop in Antwerp to explore the cutting process, from the study of the rough stone to the final polishing.

L’ÉCOLE, SCHOOL OF JEWELRY ARTS, FROM PARIS TO HONG KONG

L’ÉCOLE, School of Jewelry Arts, was established in 2012 in Place Vendôme, Paris, with the support of High Jewelry Maison Van Cleef & Arpels and opened its second permanent location in K11 MUSEA, Hong Kong in November 2019. It is the first school in the world to invite everyone from the general public to connoisseurs to explore the world of jewelry arts. In addition to providing courses throughout the year at the permanent Paris, Hong Kong, Shanghai and Dubai locations, L’ÉCOLE has expanded its educational programs worldwide with traveling editions featuring special courses, talks, publications, and exhibitions in cities such as Tokyo, New York, and Lyon. L’ÉCOLE carries several research projects and partnerships with museums and academic institutions, including Musée des Arts Décoratifs (Paris), The Comédie-Française Museum (Paris), École des MINES ParisTech (Paris), Liang Yi Museum (Hong Kong) and also Hong Kong Design Institute (Hong Kong). It also offers online educational videos, talks, and a library specializing in jewelry arts.
