A series of cultural programs to explore the diamond journey

 

L’ÉCOLE, School of Jewelry Arts, supported by Van Cleef & Arpels, is delighted to unveil the next chapter in its esteemed Diamond Moments series, featuring a comprehensive range of programs to explore the diamond journey from rough stone to brilliant elegance.  The newly curated series of programs will feature showcases, talks, courses and a variety of cultural programs centered around theme of diamonds. “Discover the Diamond: Art & Science,” is scheduled to take place at the L’ÉCOLE Asia Pacific campus at K11 MUSEA from November 22, 2025, to April 30, 2026.

Diamond Presentation: Art, History and Evolution

L’ÉCOLE invites visitors to rediscover this iconic mineral. From rough stones to brilliant cuts, this exploration traces the many journeys of diamonds from East to West, offering an immersive experience within the dazzling gemstone and showcasing the two sets of famous diamond replicas: the Tavernier set and the Lesotho Legend. 

The Tavernier set reveals the Mughal cuts, of the 17th century, which have long since been forgotten, while Lesotho Legend utilizes modern diamond cutting technology. 

Guided Tours will be provided starting from November 23rd, from 2 to 6pm. Join us to discover this unforgettable diamond journey at L’ÉCOLE!

Exploration Days of Diamond

L’ÉCOLE Asia Pacific will host two Exploration Days of Diamond, taking place at the vibrant K11 MUSEA campus on Saturday, November 22nd and November 29th. These events will feature special talks, themed "The Savoir-Faire" and "The Gem" of diamond, offering an engaging and educational experience for all ages.

Talks

Industry experts will lead a series of professional in-person talks on Exploration Days, covering specialized topic such as “Jean-Baptiste Tavernier: Rediscovered Treasures” and “The Fascinating Colors of Diamonds.” The program will also feature hands-on workshops guided by local master artisans, providing a tactile and enriching dimension to the overall learning experience.

Film Screening Titanic

Film Screening & Sharing

While the gem can be seen at the Smithsonian Museum in the United States, Jewels from the Titanic carry legends that go far beyond Hollywood myths. Explore more after the screening with L’ECOLE.

Meet jewelry historian Ms. Mathilde Berger and gemologist Ms. Ann Lee to fully appreciate the famous Titanic jewels!

The Lesotho Legend: from a Rough Diamond to a High Jewelry Collection

In honor of the diamond’s significance, a new course titled “The Lesotho Legend: from a Rough Diamond to a High Jewelry Collection” is being launched in the Asia Pacific Campus. In this course, you will travel through Lesotho to explore the origin, formation, and extraction of this extraordinary gem. Along the way, you will observe replicas of the diamond as you will make a stop in Antwerp to explore the cutting process, from the study of the rough stone to the final polishing.
