L’ÉCOLE Magic Hour
MUSIC | "The Sound of Coral": Echoes from the Oceanic Depths
Curated by contemporary musician and composer Olivier Cong, this live performance transforms precious coral specimens into instruments against the Victoria Harbour sunset. Guests are invited to interact with coral, branches, thicker coral specimens and beads, as ambient microphones capture the subtle acoustic vibrations of movement, integrating them live into an evolving soundscape.
The program features a dialogue with Ann Lee, Exhibition Co-curator, Gemologist & L’ÉCOLE Lecturer, exploring the ecosystems of precious coral through live musical improvisations, as well as classroom demonstrations by teachers, learning more about gemology, jewelry design and savoir-faire.
Date: September 11, 2026 (Fri)
Time: 6 p.m. / 7:30 p.m.
Event is conducted in Cantonese.
Free admission, registration required.
