About the course
In the morning, you will be welcomed at L’ÉCOLE, School of Jewelry Arts to start your discovery journey of savoir-faire. During this class, you will be guided by one Jeweler or one Jewelry Designer to discover their techniques and their tools, and to become familiar with the multiple “métiers” involved in creating a high jewelry masterpiece. For two hours, you will experience for yourself all the richness of these artistic professions. You will take home the “gouaché” sketch or pewter mock-up you have made.
After this class, you will be accompanied to the restaurant Culinart 1862, at the same place as Institut Disciples Escoffier. The lunch will be prepared by the Chef of restaurant.
In the afternoon, your discovery journey of savoir-faire will continue at the Institut Disciples Escoffier for a pastry class. You will make the elegant vanilla & cherry Religieuse with our Pastry Master Teacher. This classic French chou pastry filled with crème pâtissière has a large variety of colors, flavors and shapes, showing the endless creativity of Pastry Chefs. You will learn the techniques of chou, pastry cream, glazing and chocolate décor with due respect to the rules of the art. After the class, you will be able to bring your delicious cake home to share with your loved ones!
Sit back and relax
You will be accompanied by one Jeweler or one Jewelry Designer in the morning, and by a Pastry Chef in the afternoon; all of them having extensive knowledge and expertise in their own field throughout their numerous years of practice.
You are welcomed by your teachers before the class starts: a chance to meet each other and share experiences. You don’t need to bring any specific material.
After the class, teachers deliver a list of books, podcasts, websites, museums related to the course attended. A certificate is given at the end of the class.
Take home the “gouaché” sketch or pewter mock-up you have made, as well as your class certificate.
The program will start L’ÉCOLE, School of Jewelry Arts and end at the Institut Disciples Escoffier. Transportation between both places is included in the program fee and organized by both parties.
Lunch is included in the program fee: it will consist of a pleasant moment with the Chef while enjoying the dishes he prepared at the restaurant Culinart 1862.
This course will be given in English.
