Mineral Reveries – A Cinematographic Journey

Exhibition Stones and Reveries

Attend an exceptional screening at Le Grand Rex, followed by a visit of the exhibition "Stones and Reveries: The Poetry and Minerals of Roger Caillois". This event is held in collaboration with CineMarfa.

In continuity with the exhibition "Stones and Reveries: The Poetry and Minerals of Roger Caillois" presented at L’ÉCOLE, School of Jewelry Arts in partnership with France’s Muséum national d’histoire naturelle (National Museum of Natural History), an exceptional screening will be held at Le Grand Rex in collaboration with the CineMarfa festival.

Inspired by Roger Caillois’s work The Writing of Stones, the program comprises a selection of short and medium-length films at the crossroads of documentary and experimental film, an exploration of the mineral world in resonance with the writer’s approach.

The screening engages in a dialogue between cinema, literature and the natural sciences, delving into ideas brought to light by the exhibition.

The event ends with a visit of the exhibition at L’ÉCOLE, School of Jewelry Arts and a cocktail.
