Discovering the Art of Designing Jewels (12 to 16 years old)
Initiate teenagers to the techniques and tools of the jewelry designer.
About the Workshop
The jewelry designer’s profession is often misunderstood by the public but is essential to the jewelry creation process. Indeed, the drawing allows to represent at a real scale the shapes, reliefs and colors of the High Jewelry piece.
During this workshop participants discover the tools and the designer’s environment. They follow the different steps of a drawing and then make their own jewelry design from a model of a faceted stone.
The participants leave the workshop with their creation.
Offering a unique educational experience both authentic and fun, the creative workshops of L'ÉCOLE allow raising awareness on creative professions for young people from 6 to 16 years old. Also, the workshops stimulate their imagination so they can discover new realms of creativity.
Useful to Know
- Open to teenagers from 12 to 16 years old.
- The workshop is led by two lecturers, an art historian, and a designer.
- All necessary equipment is provided on site.
QUALITY
L'ÉCOLE set up, 5 years after its foundation, a Scientific Council to oversee the consistency of its educational policy and the relevance of its teaching materials.
