The World of gemstones

The Diamond (1/5)

Diamond

Over the course of five classes, discover the composition and creation of these precious stones. Handle unique, authentic specimens to learn how to recognize their properties and distinctive features. Explore their history and the meanings they have carried across cultures.

The journey begins as you walk into the historical Hôtel de Mercy-Argenteau on Paris’ Grands Boulevards. In the heart of this 18th century mansion, you meet your two guides: a gemologist and an art historian.

The diamond will dazzle you with its unique characteristics, its incomparable brilliance, and the role it has played in the societies of Antiquity.

Please note that it is mandatory to register for the whole cycle: it is not possible to follow a session in isolation.
