Presentation

From October 6th to 11th, 2025, Télérama celebrates culture and art forms. Meetings with artists and intellectuals take place every evening in seven Parisian locations, such as the Théâtre du Rond-Point, the Maison des Métallos, the Théâtre de la Ville-Sarah Bernhardt, the Palais de la Porte Dorée, and L'ÉCOLE, School of Jewelry Arts. 

On October 9th, L'ÉCOLE, School of Jewelry Arts attend to a talk at the Palais de la Porte Dorée, and, on October 11th, attend other talks and demonstration at the Hôtel de Mercy-Argenteau.

Talk "Art Deco Architecture and Jewelry"

What is Art Deco? Why does it have this name? How did it conquer the world? 
At the heart of Art Deco aesthetics, let's discover how sky scrapers, urban lines and modernity profoundly changed the face of jewelry.

Moderated by Journalist Yasmine Youssi with Paul Paradis, Art Historian and Professor at L'ÉCOLE, School of Jewelry Arts, Laurence Mouillefarine, Journalist and author of several books on Art Deco jewelry, and Mathieu Rousset, curator in charge of Middle Ages and Renaissance and jewelry collections from the Musée des Arts Décoratifs.

Talk "Dédale: the secrets of a new literary collection"

Dédale, a new series of literary works born of an unprecedented partnership between L’ÉCOLE, School of Jewelry Arts and Italian publishing house Franco Maria Ricci. It features major literary works as well as little-known or obscure texts, all with ties to the world of jewelry, precious stones and the arts in general.

Moderated by Journalist Yasmine Youssi with Daniel Mitchell, Bookshop Manager of L'Escarboucle, Léonard Pouy, Art Historian and Teacher-Researcher at L’ÉCOLE, School of Jewelry Arts, and Laurent de Commines, Illustrator.

Talk "The influence of stones on the poetry of Roger Caillois"

Roger Caillois, an essayist, grammarian and poet, devoted part of his work to better comprehending the connections between nature and art. Driven by his insatiable curiosity, scientific precision and boundless imagination, this master of the French language collected stones with passion and erudition for over twenty-five years.

Moderated by Journalist Youness Bousenna with François Farges, Curator of the exhibition "Stones and Reveries: The Poetry and Minerals of Roger Caillois" and Scientist in charge of the Muséum national d'histoire naturelle's collections of gems and objets d’art, Juliette Agnel, Photographer, and Odile Felgine, Writer and Poet.
