From Aspiring Jeweler to Little Pastry Chef (9 to 11 years old)

L’ÉCOLE, School of Jewelry Arts and Le Cordon Bleu Paris collaborate to propose a creative workshop for children from 9 to 11 years old accompanied by an adult.

Six children and six adults are welcomed alongside an art historian, an illustrator and a pastry chef to attend two creative workshops lasting two hours each, separated by a lunch break.

In the morning, L’ÉCOLE, School of Jewelry Arts opens the doors to a world where attention to detail and harmony are celebrated. Following the footsteps of jewelry artisans, the children design, cut and decorate their own personal treasure box. In their hands, the wooden box becomes a jewel case for objects and wonders, adorned according to each child’s creativity.

After the lunch break, the journey continues in the kitchens of Le Cordon Bleu Paris at the Hôtel de la Marine. The participants are welcomed by a pastry chef who guides them and reveals the secrets of a delicious dessert. The children discover pastries techniques such as tempering chocolate using a cooking thermometer to create the most mineral of French delicacies: chocolate "rochers".

Schedule of the day 

• In the morning, the workshop takes place at L’ÉCOLE, School of Jewelry Arts, Hôtel de Mercy-Argenteau, 16 bis, boulevard Montmartre, Paris 9ème.
• In the afternoon, the workshop takes place in the kitchens of Le Cordon Bleu Paris, Hôtel de la Marine, 2, place de la Concorde, Paris 8ème.

• This workshop is only available in French.
• The total price of the workshop including two participants (one adult and one child) is 250€.
• The lunch is not included in the program.
• All necessary equipment is provided on site.
