Known as the “Grand Condé,” the Pink Diamond is a historic gemstone weighing more than 9 carats, documented in the collections of the Princes of Condé since the 18th century. This jewel, exceptional in both color and provenance, is once again on public display as part of the unprecedented exhibition "The Pink Diamond", organized at the Musée Condé in partnership with L’ÉCOLE, School of Jewelry Arts.

The talk brings together the exhibition’s two curators, Mathieu Deldicque, Chief Heritage Curator, Director of the Musée Condé and the Living Museum of the Horse at the Château de Chantilly, and Marie-Laure Cassius-Duranton, Art Historian and Gemologist at L’ÉCOLE, School of Jewelry Arts; as well as Emmanuel Fritsch, Professor of Physics and Gemologist at the University of Nantes, and Florent Guérif, Art Historian, Jeweler and Lecturer at L’ÉCOLE, School of Jewelry Arts.

They will shed light on the distinctive features of this interdisciplinary research project, unprecedented for a diamond of this kind, bringing together gemological analyses with extensive archival and historical research.
