Only gemstone composed of one single chemical element, the diamond hides so many mysteries: the miracle of its birth, its totally improbable meeting up with human beings, and its incomparable hardness.
Two gemologists reveal to you the secrets of this fascinating stone: its unique chemical composition, its color and clarity, as well as the savoir-faire of cut.
Learn how to handle stones and to use gemological tools.
This course is an initial introduction to diamonds and presents notions that are developed in detail during the four-hour course "Fascinating Diamonds: Science and Gemology" ; therefore, it is recommended to attend only one of the two courses.
Useful to Know
- You are welcomed by your lecturers, and a refreshment is offered to you before the class starts.
- This class is given by two gemologists.
- All necessary equipment is provided on site.
- A certificate is given at the end of the class along with a list of recommendations of books, podcasts, websites, museums related to the course attended.
