Fascinating Diamond 2: Science and Gemology

Study the history and properties of this fascinating stone.

About the Course

Two gemologists are unveiling the diamond history, from when it was first polished in the 4th century before our era, to the invention of the "modern brilliant" cut in 1919.

Discover the secrets of this gemstone: its chemical composition, the unique geological circumstances of its creation, unequaled hardness, the mystery of its brilliance, and its fire.

Finally, handle stones, classify them by colors and assess their clarity while using gemologist's tools.

This course expands upon notions covered during the two-hour course "The Diamond: A gemological exception"; therefore, it is recommended to attend only one of the two courses.
