The Gouaché in High Jewelry 3: Materials

The journey begins as you walk into the historical Hôtel de Mercy-Argenteau on Paris’ Grands Boulevards. In the heart of this 18th century mansion, you meet your two teachers: a gouacheur and an artist.

Together, they will introduce you to the gestures and techniques of High Jewelry drawing. 

In this immersive session dedicated to gouaché, the journey begins by designing an Art Deco-inspired brooch. You will give free rein to your imagination as you create a jewelry motif incorporating at least a jade ring and a white pearl, among other elements in onyx and diamonds. 

Throughout the course, which combines explanations with hands-on exercises, the jewel takes shape under your brush: reflections emerge, textures appear, and volumes are revealed.

This course may be taken on its own, though we recommend attending after the first two sessions : "The Gouaché in High Jewelry 1: Light" and "The Gouaché in High Jewelry 2: Color".

• A certificate is given at the end of the class.
• After each class, teachers deliver a list of books, podcasts, websites, museums related to the course attended.
